Sutter Health Sign Goes Up on New Women’s and Children’s Center

ALWCC 4_17 aThe Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento sign was installed today on the left side of the top level of the new Anderson Lucchetti Women’s and Children’s Center by construction workers.

Because the new acute-care facility is a half-block distance from the Capital City Freeway, the sign can be seen by travelers and commuters.

The signage matches the rebranding that the Sutter Health network of hospitals, doctors and medical foundations undertook in the past couple of years, with the new Plus logo and the name of the facility — Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento — underneath the bolder Sutter Health name.

Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is currently a large, comprehensive medical center located on two campuses that are two miles apart. By moving all services from Sutter Memorial Hospital in East Sacramento to the midtown Sutter General campus, it is hoped that it will be clearer for patients and residents that the medical center’s name is officially Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.

When all patients and services are moved from Sutter Memorial to the expanded midtown campus, the Sutter General Hospital name will go away. That building will then be called the Ose Adams Medical Pavilion. Together with the Anderson Lucchetti Women’s and Children’s Center, the two acute-care facilities, which are connected by a three-story spanning structure, will be known as Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento.
