A New Era In Cardiovascular Care
Steps that are taken when someone exhibits the signs of heart attack can drastically effect the patient’s survival – that’s why Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento has been working continuously to improve processes to improve patient outcomes and to become nationally recognized for heart attack treatment.
When it comes to heart attacks, the faster the patient is treated the less damage to the heart, and the better the outcome. As an accredited Chest Pain Center with PCI, Sutter Memorial Hospital has dedicated interventional cardiologists, and cardiology and emergency personnel trained in rapid response and treatment of heart attacks, which ensures reduced heart muscle damage. Depending on the patients need once at the hospital, Sutter’s highly trained cardiovascular surgeons are on-site to provide coronary intervention, diagnostic catheterization and bypass surgery.
In 2013 the home of Sutter Heart and Vascular Institute, currently located on the Sutter Memorial Hospital Campus, will relocate to the sprawling midtown campus within Sutter General Hospital/Ose Adams Medical Pavilion. With this relocation, Sutter Medical Center, Sacramento is investing in a new Cardiovascular Hybrid Surgical Suite, four new cardiac catheterization labs, two new electrophysiology labs, five angiography rooms, four cardiac operating rooms, and new operating rooms and recovery beds for the Transplant and Advanced Heart Therapy Services.
