Endoscopy Registered Nurse Pilo DeLeon enters patient data in the center’s video processor.

The Sutter Capitol Pavilion Outpatient Surgery Center is in operation, literally. The Surgery Center, which occupies the second floor of the Sutter Capitol Pavilion, opened on December 6 and had 65 cases its first week in business.

The surgery center features four operating rooms, four GI procedure rooms and an interventional radiology suite all equipped with the latest in lighting and imaging systems.

Typical surgeries that are done in the outpatient setting include general surgery, gynecological surgery, orthopedic surgery, plastic surgery, vascular surgery, urologic surgery, and ENT surgery.

Patients get treated to free valet parking, private pre-op and recovery spaces and a warm Sutter Spirit from staff and physicians.

“We’ve heard positive feedback from patients,” said Surgery Center Manager Jill Quinn, “and the surgeons are very impressed with the operating rooms and the quality of the staff.”

  1. Capitol Pavilion Surgery Center,
My name Is John Morris, Tuesday Nov, 29 2011 I had a routine colonoscopy performed at your facility. This uncomfortable experience was made bearable only by your incredible staff. From check-in to the check-out I was made comfortable, with my privacy respected at every level. I have nothing but praises for your facility and staff.
    Thank you!

    Sincerely,
    John Morris
